Do you know, that most of the health issues like constipation, hypertension, headaches, skin allergies, digestion, gastric troubles and loosing weight.

All these can be solved only by taking water at correct time and in optimum quantity. I know it is shocking but that’s what made me to write this blog.

Note:- Below is the water content that our body organs have in it, which shows how much in need of water the body is.

Water content in our body by organs

We need to know how much essential “water” is for our health. For living, the most important things are air, water and food. As per science, our body is made up of 70 percent water and coincidentally 70 percent of Earth is covered in water.

So, If your body weight is around 75 kg then you have a water content of 45 kgs. Even foods and vegetables that we eat have 80 percentage of water.

We generally have more food than water on daily basis, Which implies food : water in 70:30 ratio in reverse. which effects the body health at a greater pace and we tend to fall sick and attract health issues.

This liquid substance makes up a majority of your body weight and is involved in many important functions, including:

  • Flushing out waste from your body
  • Regulating body temperature
  • Helping your brain function
  • Acts as lubricant between with bones
  • Breaking down food fast through saliva
  • Improves blood oxygen circulation
  • Brightness the skin
  • Helps in cognitive function
  • Feeling less fatigue
  • Gives Positive impact on your energy level
  • Prevents constipation

What are signs that body gives if there is not enough water source?

The body tends to show 7 kinds of signs that if water is not sufficient. Those are ;-

  1. Bright yellow urine
  2. Smelling urine
  3. Headache or dimness
  4. Feeling body temperature is high
  5. Eyes irritation
  6. If going in sunlight, it feels like skin is getting allergic (skin rashes)
  7. Most common feeling thirsty

Unknowingly Instead of having water, we are forcing our body into dehydration state.

How much water should you drink?

In general we loose 2-2.5 litres of water daily through urine and sweating. Now you will say that having 2.5 litres of water will be sufficient. No, because we have food with oil, salt, tablets, masalas, sugar and some of us go into sunlight for all these we need more water. As per studies,4-5.5 litres will be sufficient if we have it on daily basis.

Serial NumberAge Groups Water Consumption In Litres
1Under 1 year300-500 ML
21-5 Years1-1.5 Ltrs
35-10 Years2-3 Ltrs
410-19 Years3-4 Ltrs
520-60 Years4-5 Ltrs
660+ Years3 Litrs
Table:- Water Consumption as per ages

Female Male
Average Conditions 2.2 Ltrs 2.9 Ltrs
Manual Labour 4.5 Ltrs 4.5 Ltrs
Pregnancy Time 4.8 Ltrs
Lactation Period 5.5 Ltrs
As Per WHO ;- Water consumption For Adults

The above water consumption are minimum that we have to take.

Some of the common fake things that people tell if we have more water :-

  • Kidney will have lots of load
  • Blood will become thin
  • Nutrients will go as waste from the urine
  • Urinary Diseases will come

As per Samson Wright’s Applied Physiology from Oxford London, 2 litres of water if we have at a time that will not affect kidney neither it will effect our blood characteristics and the wastage that has to go from our body that only leaves from our urine. we will not have any negative effect is been proved. That you can check in scientific study- Pg. No. 35.

So, I would suggest adults to have at least 4-5 litres of water stored in sand and copper pots instead of using plastic bottles or any other material.

Note:- Don’t have cold water from fridge instead have water from mud pots by wrapping it with wet cloth.

What Routine to follow for having water?

Water consumption on day basis can be divided into two phases :-

  • Empty Stomach water consumption
  • Daytime water consumption

Empty Stomach Water Consumption :- Water taken empty stomach helps in cleaning the body parts from inside and purifying your blood.

When you wake up early in the morning have 1-1.25 Litres of water. Then, concentrate on having a free motion and walk for 5-10 minutes, until you feel the sense to go for lavatory. You will have a free motion early in the morning which makes your body to release wastage from you body.

After the motion, now you can complete your auxiliary works or do some yoga or exercise for 60-85 minutes then again have 1-1.25 litres go for second motion your body will be purified completely.

This technique will help in Purifying 5 times the blood and 70% water in body and numerous cells in the morning.

In some cases, if motion is not cleared don’t have the water immediately take some 60-85 minutes of gap and then follow the same procedure and then go for motion.

Sometimes, before brushing your teeth you have water and while brushing you get vomiting sensation so avoid doing that. Even if while having water we have vomit it is not any disease or illness just take a break and have it after sometime, everything will be fine.

So, before breakfast you need to complete 2-2.25 litres of water, there should be a gap of 20-30 mins between water and meal. This is the water reserve for your meal and while having meal you will not take water. As, water and food are not mixed, digestion will be faster with proper distribution of the vitamins and minerals in the body. Give atleast 90-120 minutes of time gap after your breakfast then have a glass of water.

I would suggest to wake up around 6;30 – 7 A.M. for having a proper routine. Then your breakfast timing should be 9 A.M. Having a glass of water after your breakfast meal should be 11 A.M.

Daytime Water Consumption :- This helps in keeping us hydrated from inside while we are working or if we are direct in-contact with sunlight.

After having a glass of water at 11 A.M. then for every 15-20 mins have a glass of water. This will wash the HCL acid in the stomach and you will not get ulcers or gastric issues. Just 20 mins before lunch you need to continue the procedure of having water for 15-20 intervals.

Now if you have a spiciest food also it will get digest easily. Again we should not have water while having meal.

Generally, During the daytime minimum 2-2.5 Litres of water we should have normally. In summer, people who are working should minimum have 4-4.5 litres of water.

During daytime never have water while having meal because this will make the stomach’s hydrochloric Acid concentration thin and the it will not kill the germs and other bacteria in the food. Ultimately, the food not get fully digest, for digesting the food more hydrocholric acid will be generated.

This is the cause of gastric trouble, indigestion, sleeplessness and smelly burps.

So, while having meal chew as much as you can take make the food in very tiny granules, don’t talk much while having meal this will help the saliva (enzymes) to mix properly which helps in digestion of food at a faster pace.

Now after your lunch meal, give 2 hours of gap and then for every 15-30 minutes of interval have a glass of water till 6-30 P.M. Through toilet all the waste will come out. Then, have your dinner now you have enough of water reserve in body. Still, if you want to have some water you can have it.

Having the dinner by 7-30 will be the best time and without having water you can sleep directly. At night avoid having more water as it will interrupt your sleep, then follow the same procedure of having water from the morning.

Finally, by following this water routine and diet plan you will see your body will hydrated, active, mind will be sure, stress levels will be reduced, skin irritation, stomach ache will not come, gastric troubles will not be there, sun allergy, mouth smell, cholesterol will be in control, hypertension, sugar everything will come under control. You will be living a healthy lifestyle with active levels of body and sugar levels.
