Hi Guys!! many of you would be thinking 🤔how Google search results are so accurate right? I will be unfolding one of the main algorithm which helps in giving those accurate results. So, let us see what is Google panda.
Introduction :-

Google Panda was launched on 24th February 2011, as part of improvisations that google do every year to it’s search engine for giving more relevant results to the users.
Initially, Panda was a filter rather than a part of the Google’s search core algorithm, but in January 2016, it was officially incorporated into the ranking algorithm. Since, then it has became a main part of the core algorithm which helps in filtering content with authentication and other factors to make the users experience at search page more regular.
Even though, Panda is one of the main algorithm it doesn’t mean that it will applied to search results in real time.
What are the things that panda doesn’t like :-
Lets have a look on the main things that Panda doesn’t like, those are ;-
- Poor user experience
- Duplicate content
- Plagiarism
- Thin content
- Keyword stuffing
- User generated spam
Poor user experience ;-
Suppose, you are a user searching for “sport shoes” but instead of getting ecommerce or shopping sites relating to sport shoes, the first 3-4 search results are about sports news. You will like this kind of experience? No right, Google also feels the same.

So, here the word relevancy is most important for the Google in user perspective.
Google wants to give accurate and relevance information with speed over the search engine. For that, Panda observes and analysis the user activity on the websites user visits and exits from it. Depending on that Panda gets to know if the website that user was looking for is correct or not.
One more thing that comes under user experience is “Website Design”. If a user gets the website he was looking for but is not able to understand the header menu for website navigation. Then, Panda takes it as poor user experience.

Duplicate content ;-
We know as internet is free to share information and there are more chances of having duplicate content on different websites. So, mainly it’s like having the same content in different ways on different sites.
Google Panda does the algorithm for checking the originality and duplicacy of the content. Depending on that it helps in indexing the pages for the user’s search.

Plagiarism ;-
This is basically similar to duplicate content but, it focuses on content ideas duplicacy. It means that if any website is trying to copy the content of others content from the original website which is already their on the internet and ranking good. It comes under plagiarism even if the article or content is spinned on different pages of the same website.
Google is aware of everything so, it takes a AI-based approach for detecting and slowly changes the rankings of the website.

Thin Content ;-
Suppose, we have a web page [ a specific site page is called web page ] in which there is very limited content and 50 words articles with no hierarchy.

When a user lands on the web page having limited content then engagement of the user will be very less as the content is very less. Even, if the content is very good, but to read it is taking less time so exit rate will be more.
Thus, Google considers as if the web page is not useful or relevant so it effects that website and ranking of that website gets down.
Keyword Stuffing ;-
For this, you need to first know what is keyword right? Let me explain you. Keyword is nothing but whatever you i.e, user searches on Google search bar is termed as keyword for commercial purpose.
It’s basically the main thing on basis of which the rankings of web pages and ads that popups in-front of you while Googling.
Now, it will be easy for you to understand keyword stuffing. It is stuffing of too many keywords in an article for ranking on the Google search results. Here, the website owner is trying to manipulate the Google results by this method.

User generated spam ;-
It is creating spam content with fake keywords, fake webpages or fake URLs. Similar to keyword stuffing but here the intent is mainly to hack the users during their visit to the website.
So, Google Panda Algorithm mainly makes the content or Google results safe for the user to visit along with relevancy, accuracy and giving desired quality content by working in the backend of the Google Search Engine.
